Group for the East End Thanks The Moore Charitable Foundation

The Moore Charitable Foundation's Executive Director Ann Colley joined The Foundation in 1994, shortly after it was set-up by Louis Bacon. For 10 years Ann served on the 'Group for the East End' [http://www.groupfortheeastend.org] board of Directors and has been an avid supporter of the group for over 20 years. During her time on the board she was a member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Nominating Committee, and devoted Chair and longstanding member of the Annual Benefit Committee.

Her support endurance and generosity toward the Group for the East End has been unshakable, and they have praised her, and the Moore Charitable Foundation's involvement in multiple projects which have led to the preservation of thousands of acres of fragile undeveloped land and historic farms that were threatened with development.

Through Ann's involvement The Moore Charitable Foundation provided key funding and support for the Group's 35th anniversary expansion campaign.  The conservation program ran through Riverhead, Southampton, Southold, Shelter Island, and East Hampton.

Together Louis Bacon, Ann Colley, and MCF have lent critical support to some of the most important land and water conservation campaigns in the East End Long Island area, all of which have helped save acres of fragile and historical land from being developed on.

Louis Bacon, Ann Colley and MCF have profoundly advanced the cause of conservation throughout eastern Long Island. In addition to supporting the daily environmental advocacy and education work at the Group, MCF has lent critical support to some of the most important and successful land and water conservation campaigns. These regional campaigns have led to the preservation of thousands of acres of fragile undeveloped land and historic farms that were threatened with development.

The Group for the East End have expressed their gratitude for Ann’s leadership and commitment to the East End Long Island habitats.
